why a dollar?
the list is free, and it's a real way in — you'll hear from me when it's ready. the dollar is for people who want a numbered place in the first hundred, ahead of the list. it's the smallest thing that means you'd actually buy one, and it goes back to you the moment you ask.
is the $1 a down payment?
no. it's a place in the first hundred, not the start of a charge. when yours is ready, you choose: take the dollar back, or put it toward your ambielo. nothing is ever charged on its own.
what's the difference between the list and the first hundred?
the list is free: an email, and a note from me when it's ready. the first hundred are the first units built, offered in the order places were held — and a place there is $1, refundable any day.
why only a hundred?
because i build them by hand, and a hundred in two waves is what one person can do properly. it isn't a marketing number and there's no countdown on this page. when it's full, this page will simply say so.
what if you never ship?
you get your dollar back. that's why it's held and not spent — so that promise costs nothing to keep.
is there a camera or a microphone?
no. nothing that records the room. it senses movement in the air the way a radar does, and that's all it can do.
do i have to wear anything?
no. nothing on your wrist, nothing under the mattress. it sits on the nightstand, an arm's length from you.
what's the difference between the two?
ambielo reads the night, gives you the morning sentence, and guides your breathing at bedtime. ambielo+ adds the wake: a light that comes up before the sound, a chime from the nightstand instead of your phone, the time on its face, a touch to stop the morning, and a riser that aims it at the bed.
do i have to pay a subscription?
no. the device and everything it does for your nights work without one, for as long as you own it. pro is optional — coaching and habits in the app — and your first year of it is included. its price is set before the store opens.
can i change my mind?
yes, at any moment. joining the list or holding a place doesn't commit you to buying — when it's ready, you choose.
